Plastic Cases
For a short period of time Robert received his supplies in plastic cases like the ones seen above. They measure 3.375” tall, 1.5” wide and .75” deep. As you can see, these cases are very unique. They were created by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and they were initially used in basic physiological studies of cannabis. Notice the “C1” symbol on both, which clearly showed the classification of marijuana in Schedule I (or Class 1). Also notice the low THC content of the cigarettes. It is amazing to think that this was the “best” marijuana grown by NIDA and packaged in North Carolina at the Research Triangle Institute. Throughout the two-plus decades that Robert received his federal medical marijuana the supplies were always low in THC content. The highest potency was around 3.5% THC. Rather pathetic by today’s standards. BUT, it saved his sight and that is the important thing.
If you are a collector of unique marijuana memorabilia it doesn’t get much better than these cases.
